Today is the day the world will end….
It’s December 21, 2012. According to the Mayan calendar sometime today the world will end. Then that’s it. It’s over and done with.
I’m still here. How about you? Thank crikey for that ’cause I really like you.
If you haven’t already guessed, it’s all a bit of a sham. Nothing’s changed. I see the trees and the sky and the remnants of all the bloudy snow and rain we’ve had the past week. Actually I don’t mind the weather in Vancouver. It keeps you guessing and I love the spontenaity of it. Anyway I didn’t come here to write about the weather.
What I really came here to say was that my son, apparently a mini predictor himself, has very clearly demonstrated an entirely different ending for us all. It requires the presence of two things:
- A rather large Praying Mantis
- A hungry T-Rex
Here is his prediction, according to his mama. That’s me.
The world is going to end when T-Rex and friends are resurrected. They’ll all come out of the woodwork, looking for tasty treats that are the bigger than life insects also roaming our abodes. When the bugs have been finished off, we’re next.
It’s all my fault.
I didn’t put the toys away in their proper places. I left the insects and the dinosaurs too close together. I knew I shouldn’t have, but I was torn between putting them away and controlling the laundry apocalypse that was inevitable if I didn’t gain control of said situation.
Seriously though, if that’s possible at this point, what is my son actually playing on here? I’ll never know. He’s just two and has a two-year old brain full of stuff I don’t understand, at all. So I thought I’d ask ya’ll. Cause that’s how I roll.
