The Eyes of a Child: Remembrance Day

November 11, 2012 By beautiful mama. Leave a Comment

Exploring nature through the eyes of a child.

Precious Moments

Raising a two-year old has its challenges to be sure, but if it weren’t for those tough bits in time, the precious moments would skate by unnoticed. Children have a way of looking at the world that is often beyond comprehension as an adult. But if you sit down for a minute, get down to their level, it is possible to get a glimpse of the wonder and amazement that is seen through the eyes of a child. If that proves difficult, go outside. Enjoy what the change of season has to offer.  Kick some leaves, stomp in all the puddles you can find, make snow angels, look for the first crocus blooms. Just do as a child would and the rest will fall away. Then, that moment and the time spend in awe with your child, will live forever.

Through the Eyes of a Soldier

Today is Remembrance Day. Take a moment to pause and imagine what war must have been like. For most of us it is impossible to know how it felt. But do it anyway. Reflecting on it through the eyes of a soldier honours those who died so that we could live.
