The Benefits of Rose Water

Rose water has been used for centuries for beauty and health purposes, some would say that it is the perfect ingredient. By its very nature, rose water is anti-inflammatory and soothing for irritated skin. It is supremely hydrating and is a rich source of anti-oxidants which help strengthen and regenerate new skin cells. Rose water contains natural sugars and oils which help to trap moisture at the surface of the skin helping it feel immediately soften and smoother.

The best part of incorporating rose water into your skin care routine? It smells amazing! It is known that a rose’s pleasing aroma has stress-reducing benefits which can only help you look and feel better, right?

It reduces oil production as well. How does it do that? It hydrates the skin to the perfect pH level so that the skin doesn’t need to produce more oil to compensate. It also has inflammatory effects, reducing redness which makes it perfect for the most sensitive skin.

Other Ways to Use Rose Water:

  1. You can set your mineral foundation powder by spritzing it on after applying to lessen the mattifying effect some can have. It brings back the glow and dewiness and helps the foundation adhere better to the skin.
  2. You can also spray it into your hand and mix it with your moisturizer to use less product on the skin on warmer days.
  3. You can also mix it in with your tinted BB Cream to achieve more sheer coverage.
  4. And finally, it is AMAZING to use with mineral eye shadows and liquid mineral foundations. You can transform any pigment colour into an eyeliner by using a bit on the palm of your hand with the proper tool aka eyeliner brush.
