London Drugs in the Olympic Village is Open
If you haven’t heard by now, London Drugs is opening in the Olympic Village if finally open. There was be an invite-only celebration on opening day followed by the first day of shopping in the brand new store. I was there taking photos and scoping out future goodies and ahem, necessities. Stay tuned for my next post about all the excitement we had.
Are you as excited as I am? If you live in the Village, you know how much this opening has been anticipated. It’s hard to express how stoked I am about a drugstore opening in my neighbourhood. Actually, who am I kidding? Of course I can.
I Love Me Some Drugstores
It is amazing what seems to become absolutely essential when I shop at London Drugs. It’s not just a drugstore after all. (this is not a plug, ok?)
I go in for tampons, for example, and come out with the latest stackable storage containers or a cute Wobble Thingy that I hope OLM or his little friend will get as much a kick out of as I do.
Here’s your chance!
Contest Details ~ Ends September 3rd
Win one of two $25.00 gift cards, courtesy of London Drugs!
All you have to do is sign up to follow this blog by email AND tell me why you want to be the lucky winner, in 50 words or less in the comments section of this blog.
The winners will be chosen by a unbiased third party as I know some of the entrants personally. Don’t want to play favourites now, people.
Two Shopping Sprees on Me! And London Drugs, of course.
Now you too can buy this Wobbly Thingy that is so sweet or some matching stackable storage containers. But, if you need to buy tampons with it, I understand.

I know what you mean and I’ve only been at home 2 years! Good luck to you and thanks for reading!

I am so excited about London Drugs opening up in the village because I have been a stay at home mom for 5 years and when my husband gets home from work and I desperately need a break from the kids I often sit on the rooftop garden and wait for a text that the bedtime routine is done and the boys are asleep. Now I can wander around London Drugs and look at make up, read magazines, gaze at kitchen appliances and maybe get a few photos printed of my wicked kids. One fear: after enough loitering they might ask me to actually buy something so a gift card would help me out a lot!

I’d love to win the 25$ GC because I’m a big fan of London Drugs, they usually have great deals all the time. It’s nice to hear of another location opening!

I can’t wait for LD to open tomorrow because I have such baby brain thanks to my 6 month old’s inability to sleep, that I am forever in need of something, due to the fact that I am forever forgetting something. LD is one of those places that always has everything you need or a close substitute – especially when you have a baby. Bring on the contact lens solution, loo roll, nappies, chocolate and terrible gossip magazines – hurrah for LD.

I signed up and any new locations for London Drugs can’t be a bad thing since I shop there all the time! I don’t know if I’m any more deserving to win, but since I shop at LD locations all the time, a GC would come in very handy for every day products like shampoo, etc.!!

SOOooo excited for the LD to open tomorrow!! I always have to trek uphill to the one on Broadway for all my odds and ends. Now I can just hop across the plaza 🙂 YAY!
Shopping Tip: LD has the best coupon policies in the province so all you coupon junkies, enjoy!

Depends on the laundry basket ;). You can get some that are curved to fit the hip just right, very sexy.

Happy to be able to get useful sundries so close to home, and post and receive mail. In need of some TLC right now, so I may well treat myself to bubble bath, a lipstick and wait for it – a laundry basket! lol! Two out of three ain’t bad!

You are a funny girl! You’re right, the sweets aisle rocks far more than the wide array of tampons they have.
Francesca says
I’d like to say that I am mostly excited about having a nearby place to recycle batteries and lightbulbs and such, or that I intend to visit to stock up on multivitamins and other wholesome things, but deep down it’s the promise of an entire aisle of sweets. Sour cherries, with your artificial colours, flavours, and textures, I can’t wait to buy you!

Hi thanks for reposting then! I had to redo this post as it was a bit glitchy. So your comment went with it. But no worries! I’ve got you listed:)

Not sure where my other comment went.. ah well here goes a 2nd submission. I am ecstatic about the new LD coming into our awesome village on Friday. Being someone who is on disability income, it is nice to have somewhere cheap enough for all those neccessities we all need… also to have it so conveniently located steps away from the building I live in.
