I was making egg salad this morning for my son’s lunch and I was having a heck of a time peeling the eggs. It’s one of those things that you do repeatedly until you think,
“There must be a better way!”
Why do we do this? We repeat old habits unknowingly until we know we are doing it. Our minds work in strange ways don’t you think?
Anyway, I digress…
I went on YouTube to figure out the best way to peel a hard-boiled egg and wouldn’t you know it, there are more ways than I imagined. The one I like the best is the one I show you in the video. I could have demonstrated the one where you cover the pan of eggs and water with a plate and shake it to high heaven, but that method would clearly peel just about anything and was far too messy for me. Not to mention it was a bit silly. And I have to say this method is way better than miss Martha’s. I was doing it her way and it just doesn’t work.
So have a look at the demo video on how to easily peel a hard-boiled egg. Please note that I only had one egg so I couldn’t re-shoot. Now who’s the silly one?
